Carlton SWCD Oregon Biochar Kiln Demonstration
When: Tuesday, October 17th 9am-1pm

Learn the ins and outs of using our Oregon Kilns, from lighting the kilns to quenching them and everything in-between! Carlton Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will be running a demonstration on how to use an Oregon flame cap biochar kiln to burn storm damage debris and make biochar out of it. Demonstration will begin at 9:00am and feedstock will be added every 30-minutes until the kilns are ready for quenching. We anticipate quenching after 12:30pm.
